Auditing and Administering VAN Users
Make sure your left sidebar menu is open. If it’s not open, click on the hamburger icon in the top left corner:
Click on “Users” at the bottom of the left sidebar menu:
Scroll to the bottom of the Users page to view a list of the active users in your committee. You might see some users that you don’t recognize and don’t have access to edit. These are likely MDP staff that have access to your committee for MDP admin purposes. Feel free to reach out if you have any concerns about users you don’t recognize.
Take a look through your list of users to see if there are any accounts than no longer need access. If the users are highlighted in blue, you have access to deactivate those users yourself. To deactivate those users, check the box to the left of their name, then select “Deactivate Users” from the Quick Actions dropdown menu:
If there are users you need to deactivate but don’t have access, you can send an email to van@michigandems.com with those names and our team can deactivate them for you.
You can also take a look at inactive users to see if there are any that need to be reactivated. To do this, toggle the Status box to “Inactive” and click Refresh Results.
You can click on any users that are highlighted in blue to enter their profile and reactivate their account.
If they have an expiration date applied to their account, you’ll need to update that date for their account to remain active. If you only change their account to active status and leave it with an expiration date that’s passed, it will revert back to inactive automatically.
If there are any users that you’re unable to edit yourself, please reach out to our team at van@michigandems.com and we can help you out. Also feel free to reach out to our team with any VAN questions you might have!
