Survey questions are used to store data collected from the field in VAN. You can include them in the scripts you create to collect information from the field, and in Create a List to use that information to cut new lists of voters.

Cross Committee Survey Questions

Cross committee survey questions are made for and shared with all committees by the MDP. They can be used in scripts and are ideal for county parties, caucuses, and clubs to use throughout the cycle. Candidate committees engaged in primaries should use their own committee-specific survey questions instead.

Local, Private Survey Questions

Local, Private survey questions are built for individual candidate committees, and are private to that committee. They are made whenever we create a new committee or reactivate an existing committee for reelection.

Master Survey Questions

Master survey questions aggregate data from multiple survey questions into one place. They cannot be used in scripts, but can (and should) be used in Create a List. They are shared across all committees. However, you cannot see which committee individual responses came from.
