Voting History is one of the best indicators of a voter's future behavior. It comes from the Secretary of State as part of the Registered Voter File and includes general, primary, presidential primary, and municipal elections.

You can specify a specific election and vote type, or any combination of elections and vote types when creating a list (i.e. a list of everyone who voted in 2020 and 2016, but NOT 2018).

Use the dropdown at the top to specify:

Any-Voter meets any of the criteria (i.e. could have voted in 2020, 2018, OR 2016 to be included)

All-Voter meets all of the criteria (i.e. voted in all 3 of 2020, 2018, AND 2016 to be included)

At Least-Voter meets at least x number of criteria (i.e. voted in AT LEAST 2 of 2020, 2018, and 2016)

Exactly-Voter meets exactly x number of criteria (i.e. voted in 2 of 2020, 2018, and 2016. Not more, not less)

No More Than-Voter meets no more than x number of criteria (i.e. voted in 2 OR LESS of 2020, 2018, and 2016)

We often build different turnout universes for a given election using this vote history. So someone who has voted in four of the last four elections might be less likely to need a reminder to vote during GOTV than someone who voted in one to three of the last four elections.

Registration Date

Registration date is weirdly tucked away with Age, but is useful when thinking about vote history since voters may not have been on the voter file during a given election. In particular, we often add new registrants (who registered since the last election) to our universes.
