Hello MI VAN Users! We have a few items to share with you this week: Daily AV Uploads Daily AV files are now being uploaded in VAN. Until voting begins at the end of the month, you can use the Early Voting section in Create a List to find ballots requested. Once voting begins, you'll also be able to find ballots sent and ballots returned. You may see some voters marked as "Ballot sent" or Ballot returned/voted" before voting begins. Most of these have been forward dated for after voting begins, or some may simply be the result of data entry issues with the local clerk.
Exports
Our team reviews all export requests. To ensure we have all the information we need to review your export request, please include the following:
A brief description of your targets A detailed explanation of how you will be contacting the voters on your list If you are sending your export list to a vendor, include the name, website, and contact information for the vendor.
We review exports throughout normal business hours, and periodically throughout weekends. We do not approve exports for phone banking, door-to-door canvassing, or lit drops. These programs need to be set up with Virtual Phone Bank, MiniVAN, or printed call or walk sheets. You can find instructions on how to set those up in the VANual MiniVAN Commit Make sure your canvass data is saved into VAN! Anytime you have canvassers using Minivan, make sure you are committing the synced data in the MiniVAN Commit section: 
MiniVAN data is not saved in VAN until it is committed! Any MiniVAN data that is not committed within 21 days is gone. If you need help with MiniVAN Commit, you can reach out to our team at van@michigandems.com
Deck Deck is a targeting tool for Democratic campaigns at all levels, offering candidate-specific modeled scores for support, turnout, partisan elasticity, contribution likelihood, targeted digital ads and more. Candidates running in the general election and have VAN access are eligible to receive Deck for free.
