Hello Fellow VAN Users,

With the November General Election passed and the Holiday Season upon us, we wanted to provide some updates regarding Data Team activities and changes in VAN.

Post-Primary Updates to Committees

Congratulations to our newly elected colleagues! We are going to begin updating candidate committees as we prepare for 2026. We wanted to walk through the timeline of those updates:


On November 11th: All survey questions will be archived. Archived survey questions can still be used in Create a List, but new data cannot be added to them. Make sure to input any outstanding data you have in your survey questions by November 11th.

On November 18th: All our Newly Electeds will have their committees renamed to reflect their Elected Official Status. You will be able to retain access to your VAN Committee for constituency work until your next election year.

On November 21st: All remaining candidate committees will be deactivated. During this time, your accounts will be shut off. Make sure to get everything you need done before November 21st!

We expect vote history of the November 4th general election to appear in the December 1st Voter File. Once we receive the Voter File from the Secretary of State, it will take between 1-2 weeks before the changes are visible in VAN.

November VAN Town Hall

For our last Town Hall of 2025, we are excited to have Michigan Party Affairs Director Sarah Woolsey join us. You can register to join us at this link: November 18th - VAN Town Hall.
 

VAN Support Holiday Hours

Our team will be taking some much needed time off over the holidays, beginning Thursday, November 27th and returning on Monday, December 1st. You can still reach out to our team at van@michigandems.com during this time and we will follow up when we return on December 1st.
